The Fusion Reactor Operations Training Summer Camp is a two-week course of 40 hours of instruction across two weeks. Classes meet for 4 hours a day and complete portions of the DOE Fundamentals Handbook, study system components of the IEC-9000 Reciprocating ION Collider, and practice running the collider by teams. Teams learn to respond to various reactor operating scenarios and conduct irradiations of various materials and cell samples pursuant to oncological research.
